Hello all! Welcome to our blog, where we’ll keep you up to date about happenings in DraftCheck, provide tips and tutorials on using the tool and what is coming next.
Draftcheck was started to solve a need that I have had for the last several years. As a private practicing attorney, I realized that the tools available to contract professionals were 1. extremely expensive, 2. required a significant commitment of both internal resources and long contract term requirements, 3. difficult to purchase/deploy, and 4. limited platform support (specifically Google Docs).
I’ve been an attorney for the last 16 years and have been working with startups for a majority of that time. One of the things I noticed is that the number of companies using Google Docs as their internal document platform is increasing, but there were literally zero tools available to contract professionals supporting that platform. And so, this started as a way to solve personal needs. Since then, the visions, brainstorming, and roadmap have grown considerably.
Additionally, at Draftcheck we are looking to really aid contract professionals in their day job. We’ll be updating the tools on a regular basis, trying to improve identification of clauses, tools, especially with the more complex document structures that happen all too often in the enterprise space.
We’re looking to bring some newer things to market and hope that you find them useufl.
